Mainland China · hotel delivery
Receive a parcel at your hotel in China
Confirm the hotel will accept it, use its exact Chinese address and keep the courier tracking open.
Quick answer
Ask reception before ordering. If the hotel agrees to hold parcels, copy its full Chinese address and use the guest name on your booking plus a phone number that can receive the courier’s call. Track the waybill and collect the parcel promptly.

Ask the hotel first
- Ask whether reception accepts parcels for staying guests. A booking does not automatically make the hotel your parcel receiver.
- Ask where parcels are kept: front desk, lobby shelf, smart locker or another collection point.
- Check restrictions before ordering anything large, refrigerated, valuable or due after checkout.
- Ask reception to send the exact Chinese hotel name and delivery address. Check the branch; hotels with similar names may be far apart.
Enter an address the courier can use
- Copy the full Chinese address, including province or city, district, street, building and hotel branch.
- Use the guest name shown on the hotel booking so reception can match the parcel to your stay.
- Enter a phone number that can receive calls or messages. Use the hotel’s number only if reception gives permission.
- Add 前台代收 — leave with reception — only after the hotel agrees. Put the handover instruction in the delivery note, not in place of the street address.
Watch the delivery
Keep the order or courier tracking open and save the waybill number / 运单号. Chinese rules require the courier to deliver to the agreed address and recipient; you may name another person to receive it. If nobody can check it in person, the alternative handover method should be agreed with you.
A courier should not mark a parcel received or leave it at a smart locker or courier service point without your consent. If the packaging is visibly damaged, ask to inspect it before accepting or refuse it through the courier.
If the parcel is missing
- Check the delivery status and the exact photo, note, locker or handover location shown in the courier record.
- Ask reception using the guest name, arrival date and waybill number. Check any parcel shelf or locker the hotel named.
- Contact the courier shown in the order or tracking record. Give the waybill number, hotel address, delivery time and the name of any recorded receiver.
- For SF Express, track through its official site, app or 顺丰速运 mini-program, or call 95338. If the courier company does not resolve a service complaint, use the National Postal Service Appeal Platform.
