Canton Fair: choose a hotel and prepare your first day

Send the hotel three questions

1. Can you check me in with my original foreign passport and complete accommodation registration? Save the written answer with the booking.
2. What is the full Chinese branch address, and which metro station and exit should I use?
3. If you advertise a Fair shuttle or badge service, what are the current dates, departure times, pickup point and reservation rules? Do not assume every hotel offers them.

A small kit that earns its place

1. Original passport, buyer badge or collection receipt, business cards and offline booth/hotel details.
2. A charged phone and power bank. Test mobile data and an SMS/call number if couriers or bank verification need to reach you.
3. A working payment method, physical card and some RMB cash. Test an ordinary small payment before your first exhibition day.
4. Use the official Canton Fair app or website for exhibitor search and hall navigation. Keep WeChat for agreed supplier contacts, a tested payment app, and a local map/ride app you can actually operate.
5. Leave a suitcase with your hotel if it agrees. Ask the current Fair desk about storage before depending on a locker. Carry only the samples you can manage during a long day.

If the morning starts badly

Hotel check-in problem: ask the duty manager, show the written confirmation and contact the booking platform from the saved order. Use the hotel-refusal guide for a specific fallback.

Phone or payment problem: get help before leaving the hotel or airport desk. Keep the Chinese destination offline; a taxi does not require you to learn an entire app on the pavement.
